Gong not working?
My gong warning chime stopped working on my e90 I just get the annoying beeping sound now, what could cause that to happen and my solutions ?

Your gong isn't working? That is simply not possible.
As all of us who watched the CNN "BMW, A Driving Obsession" special are aware BMW has scores of sound engineers assigned to making the gong perfect and spares no expense in the process! I think you need to get your hearing tested. What are you going to tell us next? That all 7 layers of paint on the pedals has worn off? On a more serious note I do not believe that there is a "gong" as such. AFAIK that sound is electronically generated and comes out of the speakers. It probably will require a trip to the dealer as there is probably not a simple electro-mechanical device that you can replace. CA

I thought the gong was coming from that little device under the dash by the steering wheel ? And I miss that gong now I have that annoying seatbealt ding all the time I hate it!
