Was it the lack of proper tools or is it generally that difficult of an install?

Is there a step by step procedure out there to look at or did you just figure it out?

Is there any thing I should know before tackling this? Anything you figured out along the way that would have been nice if someone mentioned it (other than cutting the DPs)? I don't mind if it takes some time, I would however appreciate any heads-up I can get.
