250 miles later....
i have to admit, i love this car!! this is my 2nd 3-series coupe, and i feel the e92 is leaps and bounds ahead of my previous e46. i still have not gone past the 4400rpm limit, but it feels so fast. this is coming from someone who just turned in his G35 coupe. and the ride, so refined. as much as you guys dislike iDrive...i love it!! maybe i am drinking way too much of the BMW kool-aid but its great...especialy with the iPod integration. the wait from 1/6---4/10 was worth it, so happy i got a March production model!!
take a look at my ride after 250 miles, she took her first bath today. notice some minor mods: painted reflectors, 35% tint, and i removed the silly sticker in the upper left of the windshield.

Nice sled! Agree with your comments, have similar experiences - we have an E46 now along with my E90, and I owned a G35 coupe.
The G was fun, but don't quite think it is in the same league (smoothness, handling dynamics/balance, fit and finish quality, solid feeling of the doors closing, etc). I echo your sentiments exactly, although I never got to drive an E46 with a higher HP engine.

very nice, I love the iPod integration now that I have my cable.
I am doing a spirited break in, I occasionaly it over 5k rpm once oil temperature is in normal range, but never hit redline. 350 miles and going strong

its weird how the browns really come out in bright light, i.e. flash on my camera. such a unique wood trim, almost like a chamelion!

Thanks. I had 35% on my 1999 GTI and it was good. Would have preferred a bit darker for privacy but that would attract too much attention. Has it affected radio reception? The tint on our e46 blocks most radio reception and it drives my wife nuts

i feel anything darker then 35% starts to look 'ghetto'. 35% is a nice touch, classy look in my opinion.
