I agree. I've always been an strong proponent of manual trannies, but the auto made me think twice before i ordered my car. I wonder if the extra weight of the e93 effected the performance of the car?

Do not know where you are coming from. This automatic is really awesome. I have driven manuals all my life on many different varieties of cars from old British to Miatas to Porsche's to S2K. This auto made me change to the auto for my new 335ic on order.

Boring - no way!! With so much shit to play with how can this car be boring ?

If I want to shift I will use the paddles and watch the tach fly !! If I want ot relax and enjoy the ride and the toys then I'll just leave it in the old auto mode. Either way, with the top down it will be pure joy !

Not rich but comfortable. I worked 35 years in R&D and have saved much for most of them.

When I was 22 I owned a used Corvair that's how come I can own these types of cars now.

Save your $$ make some good investmens and REALLY live later. BTW I retired at 55 and am having a BALL !!!! Lot's of travel - note the 1/5th RC hobby as well as woodworking and photography.

Your choice - spend like a drunken soldier now or let it compound over 40 years and do it up right later.
