(Oil question) CPO buyers that bought from an ended lease.
This has always been in the back of my mind and I thought I'd ask...
I bought my car from someone's 3 year lease as CPO. Being that BMWs bs oil change intervals are 15,000 miles whoever leased my car did only the recommended 15,000 mile intervals which means 2 in 3 years (in service date 2/08)! Oil was changed at 9/17/2009 @ 15,618 miles 1/19/2011 @ 31,884 miles I am currently at 34,900 miles Wonder if I/we worry about this and possible sludge buildup. Anyone given this any thought? |

Actually, there was a thread here once about somebody who did have sludge buildup on a CPO that had documented 15,000 OCI. Causing the car to become undriveable. BMW blamed him and suggested the only resolution be replace the engine!
