please help!!! MPG?

i just got my cars 2days ago... sport pkg, AT w/t step... i consumed 3/4th of the gas tank and my MPG = 12.5.... i do drove it a little hard, but i did a search and evrybody seems to be gettin 18-21 mpg on average with city driving...i got the car with a full tank of gas and there was 10 miles on it b4 i took delivery... and now it's 3/4th the tank and i only have 167 miles ......any body know nething about it??? any advice would be most appreciated.....thanx

so far everything you said seems normal.... You only have 167 miles on the car and some of them are driven "hard". Before starting a thread with such a dramatic topic I would recomend going through the full tank 1st.

sorry for the dramatic thread!!! it's just that 12.5 mpg is too little... i'm hopin for it to go up...

Its fine. When you get your car programmed anytime, it will do the same thing. It will read properly after a few more days of driving.

Why dont you reset the average miles per gallon and then make your assesment. Do you know how to do that?

yea i just figured that out .... and i took the car for a long drive just to c if really was the local driving that was taking too much gas.... i took a trip to my brother's house all the way in Maryland ( 300 miles to and fro) and the results were a lot better... i got 27.9 mpg after i reset the trip computer....now i'm relieved.... thanx 4 the advice...
