Anyone want to see a diagram + pic of the huge 535i oil cooler

2nd pic shows it installed behind the front cooling fan

No, intercoolers cool the intake air after its comperssed by the turbo

E90Fleet - Do you think that the 2008 E9x production will have a bigger oil cooler? Looking at the 535s cooler I would assume that the new E9xs would get an upgrade, right?

I dont think the E9x has space for the bigger one

Remember the 5 Series engine bay is way bigger

One thing to remember though

The 335i gets cool air from the bumper onto the cooler
the 535i gets air from after the radiator, so its hotter and thus its cooler needs more cooling power

wow thats freakin huge. It almost looks like a condenser/evaporator thing for the A/C.

the 335 cooler is proabably twice as thick as the 5. wider fins, more rows, more surface area?
