Because they've paid over the odds for a very average car, they think they're exempt from the Highway Code, Common Courtesy & General Manners... don't they realise that their overpriced, under equipped ugly cars lose shit loads of money when they get to 5 years old, because they really don't last any longer than anything else & the spares are even more overpriced..... slimy wankers, most of em, you can spot them a mile away, the funniest thing is that they buy one, because they think it says something about them..... well, it certainly does....... If it's the last thing I do, I'm going to detonate an entire BMW dealership. These cars bring out the worst in people, and quite frankly, either the cars should become destroyed, or their drivers gassed.

It's because we LOVE our cars so much, TALK about it all the time, and DRIVE enthusiastically.

It's akin to hearing a neighbors or coworker rant about their sons/daughters accomplishments (if they love their son/daughter like we do our BMWs ) all day. If I hear people talking about cars, I always include myself...imagine someone always butting in when people are talking about their own children.

Who f--king cares? In what successful(arguably) position in life, whatever the scenario, will there not be those people who have negative things to say?

People don't like BMW drivers because we make posts asking why people don't like BMW drivers. You own a BMW, get over it... and for f--ks sake, who cares what other people think.

I suspect the acceleration issue for toyota would not happen to BMW. Reason people like the one quoted drive because they have to. BMW drivers pay the premium because we like to drive. That is why they will always think we are pricks because the camp out in the fast lane doing 40 and get pissed when you get behind to pass. Or when they are abreast on the highway creating a mile of traffic behind.

When driving have you ever found yourself thinking that anyone who drives slower than you is an idiot, and anyone who drives faster than you is a careless jerk? I suspect that most BMW drivers tend to fall in the jerk category, while drivers of SUVs and Prius's are definitely in the idiot category.

Perhaps some of the hate is due to the fact that there are way to many BMW drivers who feel that they are members of some elite group that makes them superior to other people.

I have found that other than a handful of "nice car" compliments, the majority of which came from people driving nicer cars, I am as ignored by the general population when I am in my BMW as I am when I am riding in public transportation.

I have not been cut off, challenged to race or had anyone act in a negative way. I seriously wonder what planet some of the people here live on,
