Rear Side Window Trim/Molding

Hi, I have a 2007 BMW 328i Convertible (I think it's E93).

When I close my rear left side window, the trim/molding comes up with it, and I have to push it back down every time.

I took it to the dealer, and they said it's $500 to replace the window trim, that sounds insanely high to me, there must be a way to glue it or somehow secure the existing one where it belongs.

Anyone had this problem or knows how to fix it?

Thanks

More than likely because they will have to replace the entire window trim. I don't think they sell it in sections and the dealer certainly wouldn't use glue since they "generally" have work standards to uphold.

I'm sure you can think of a quick little solution to the issue. Any pictures of what the trim looks like when it is pushed up? Maybe this can help us see the precise location you are talking about.

That's exactly what it is. The trim is part of the window. I have the same issue and the whole needs to be replaced.

Re-reading the ops post- maybe not. My trim problem is the piece that goes up and down with the window.
