Exhaust pipe soot
I own a 2009 E92 335i. Before the golf tee mod, the right (passenger) side exhaust pipe developed a soot build up much quicker than left side exhaust pipe, as would be expected. After the golf tee mod, the left (driver) side exhaust pipe develops a soot build up much quicker than the right side exhaust pipe. Any explanation?
Anyone else seeing the same thing? |

Never did the mod so my soot is on the right.....after a certain point, it doesn't come off any more with washing. I heard some people said use very fine steel wool, but it doesn't really bother me. I would love to get the rims really clean, but I figure the rotors are so rusted as well as the calipers, it's a losing battle...

Soot
Well, here is an interesting observation. Since I had the recall performed, pump replaced - I have LESS soot on the right tailpipe. The left tailpipe is the same before the recall (hardly any soot). Not sure how this is related to the recall performed, but I noticed it after I had my car washed - that the right side wasn't as dirty as it should of been. ????
