Sunroof Tilt anti trap door malfunction???

Has anyone received this error? It doesn't allow me to open my sunroof fully. I remember reading about this, but I could not find it again.

I just got progman v25, so this may be a side effect?

they didn't re-initialize your sunroof after programming.

Press and HOLD the tilt function, for like 25 seconds. the sunroof will tilt up, down, slide back, and forth. then you're all better.

And if the door window's are reading anti-trap, trying going all the way up and all the way back down with each window. If that doesn't fix it, come back.

+1 Someone should put together a bunch of these tricks and sticky the post. Reinitialize sunroof, reboot iDrive, reset TPM (some people dont know they must drive to reset), etc.

I had this error in my first E90. My CA came to my house, went into the garage and fixed it for me. She showed me how to do it so I'd know next time.

Beat that for post-sale service!!

My apologies for the thread resurrection.

First, thanks for those that posted this information. It cleared my malfunction code.

Second, I want to provide a bit more detail for anyone else who encounters this problem.
It came up on my car as a "sliding/tilt sunroof malfunction' and stated that the anti-trap door was deactivated.
I haven't driven my car very often this year; about 500 miles/month. I didn't do anything to the car to cause a malfunction and it had been ~3 days since I last drove it. It just popped up as an error with a funky looking error symbol. The sunroof would open in the back but would not slide back to the fully open position. Note: I haven't used my sunroof in many months.

After reading this thread, I screwed with my sunroof buttons several times with no luck, holding the button forward, back, and pushing the center button for 25+ seconds in each position. I gave up and was getting ready to schedule a service appointment when I found a thread on a different BMW board: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=233743

I gave it another shot by pressing down the center button for a minute. It didn't work. I took my key out of the ignition, cutting off all electric power and reinserted it to try one last time. This time it worked with me holding the center button down. ... and I did not have the engine running on the car.
The sunroof eventually cycled fully open, closed, tilted, and finally closed again but the error message remained. I removed my key again (cutting off electric power) and reinserted the key - at that point, the error message cleared and the sunroof works normally.

Hope this helps the next person who gets this error code.
