Help me...I have the itch...

The wife and I have been shopping for an apartment here in Manhattan. We have been excited about the project but decided to shelve it and wait for prices to come in. So...we are saving a boatload right now...but I still have the urge for SOMETHING new. I have the New car "itch"...

Right now I have a e90 330i. I've always regretted not getting the ZSP. I have ZPP, NAV, Step...I have 10 month left and I am paying only $454, inclusive of taxes...Payoff right now is 39k, residual is about 32k.

I want a new car...hopefully this weekend, and don't want to keep the one I have. I am prepared to pay a penalty of at least a couple grand...either paid in cash or or added onto a new Lease/finance.

Itching for either an e92 or e90 335i, a 2007 x5 or possibly a CPO 6 series.

Any advice?

The amount in Lease Payments remaining is

10 * 454= $4540

It's not THAT bad...

Hey...sometimes you just get that itch...no?

Get what you want if you're comfortable with the money you will spend.

But you will definitely spend less if you wait 10 months, for 2 reasons...

Finishing the lease will be cheaper than walking out on it, and demand for the 335 will be diminished, so prices will be more flexible and inventories will be greater. =)

But I've never kept a car longer than 18 months, sooooo....

How would you approach a dealer on this?

"pleeeeeeeeease don't rape me too hard! at least use KY."

I've lost a LOT of money to negative equity.

I'm currently STILL paying for my second car, and this is my fourth.

I am close to your situation they have a really great deal on the E92 335 now till end of April its 61% residual and a .00170 money factor on a 36 month 12k a year lease with $0 Down go to BMW of Manhattan.
i have 5 payments left on my E46 330Ci and cant wait to order the new 335 but will wait till they start taking orders on the M3 so then no one will want the E92 335 coupe.

I got mine at Manhattan. Does Manhattan have 335's right now or do they need to be ordered?

I usually just scratch when it itches.
In this case the only cure is to do it. Just DO IT!
Lease the 335 and put your 330 on lease trader. I know you dream about it at night. It's calling out to you. There's a 335 somewhere with your name written all over it.

Using money you had saved to invest in real estate to buy a car is madness. Having said that, you only live once, so do it!

I particularly liked "I want a new car...hopefully this weekend": you Americans are SOOO impatient

The decision to not spend 1.25 million on 1200 square feet was a HUGE and financially prudent decision.

This is a "pimple" compared to that...

wish I had one of them pimples.
I dont know about your area but some dealers here actually have 335s in stock.
THere are also a few slightly used 335s for sale in the marketplace that you should check out. Just hurry and scratch the itch before there's nothing left to scratch.

First of all, LOL@wut B-Rad wrote. Second of all, you didn't come here for advice. You came here for reassurance. Admit it. You want a 335i, and you want to be told that you're doing the right thing.

Well, the way I see it, all BMWs are too damn $$$ anyway. So, what's a little extra $$$ when you've already been raped anyway? Oh, and, of the cars you mentioned, 335 FTW. If a non-sport 330i is not sporty enough, what would you want with an X5? Doesn't compute. And the 6 Series has that ugly butt thing going on. No, you need the 335, and you need it now.

Just don't forget flowers for the wife when she see's you pull up in what would have been several months rent on the new apartment. Feel better now?

why don't you custom order a E92 335i w/ all the fixings and by the time it get's here in 3-4 months, you won't pay that much of a penalty when you go and trade off your current 330i? Maybe only 6 or 7 months left on your lease by the time the 335i arrives.. Also if you want x-drive, you can probably order the 335xi sedan by now.. just some suggestions.

If you have the credits , then just f*ck the lease and go get the 335, that you want...

Yeah you'll save a lot if you wait 10 more months, but 10 months is a long time (for me at least) and you cannot know what will happen in that time. Maybe you'll get cancer, maybe you ll die...

It's not my life style to postpone things when I have the chance...
