Tire sizing help needed!!!
Hi All,
Here is my situation. I just purchased a used set of VMR CSL 19" wheels in a staggered configuration. The fronts are 19x8.5 on 245/35/19 rubber. The rears are 19x9.5 on 275/30/19's. The problem is I am experiencing rubbing with the back tires when I go over even the smallest dips. I found out after my purchase that they were on an M3 and not an E90. I further learned from VMR where I could find the offset on the back pad and have come to find out that they are +40 and+20. They are on the car and rub in the back. They definitely do not stick out further than the wheel well. My question is if I were to change the rubber to say 235/35/19 F and 265/30/19 R would that help with rubbing or could I go 225/35/19 F and 255/30/19 R? I have no way of returning the wheels and I am just looking for a way to make them work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! |
