New to E90Post
Evening all,
I am new to this forum site, but have spend many hours looking through the various interesting posts! I have recently taken delivery of my new Beemer, a 320d Sport Plus in Alpine White, and i love it!!! This 320 replaced an 07 plate 325d M Sport Tourer. Still cant get the 6 pot out of my head though, as the 4 cylinder engine is rather noisy, but hey ho, times are hard and the new motor is a lot less hard on my pocket that the 325. Anyway, for anyone looking to go for the Sport Plus model, it really is worth it. Only downside is that you cant choose what color leather to have. I have taken some pictures, hope you like them. |

Cheers for your comments!
I wanted to be a bit more adventurous this time (after my 325 Tourer last time) without making the car look stupid, so black grills, twin pipes and the roof wrapped in Carbon Fibre sets it off against the ever increasing number of 320d's on the road i think. Will i get it mapped? i have looked into it, through some threads on here, and it is very tempting. I need something i can easily remove before it goes in for warranty work/servicing etc, and i have seen some units on here that do that (cant remember what ones though so maybe someone can remind me please??). Mapping it wont make it sound less like a tractor though will it? The twin pipes are an aftermarket set. I had them fitted at Mstyle (Romford), along with the black grill, i think it just makes the car look better (not that i'm bitter not having my 6 pot anymore!!) The roof was wrapped by a friend who has his own car wrapping business in Hatfield, again, wanted something different. The leather interior only comes in black with blue stitching on the Sport Plus models. You cant choose any other colour. Love the site by the way. Will post some pics up of the old 325 Tourer later. |

Mapping it won't affect the sound at all ... also won't make it smoke any more or etc as you have a DPF on your car.
I'd suggest a switch box that you can easilly un plug for example BW chiptune offer a switch box that is plug and play so can be taken off before a remap. This is around 350 fitted with a full explanation on how to use / remove. They are based in West London so not too far. The wrap looks good. You need a matt CF rear diffuser to match now

Love the roof, looks excellent!
I can appreciate the noise must be a little annoying after coming from a 6 pot, maybe a remap will take your mind off it :-) Welcome to the forum.

The twin pipes are aftermarket ones, supplied and fitted by Mstyle in Romford. £92 including fitting, so not too bad. Was quoted £125 in St Albans to have them supplied and fitted.
