Arm rest that stay open (at any degree, not just 90dg)
Okay, so there a couple posts where people were pondering the idea of a spring or some sort of device that would keep the armrest open at any degree and not just the lock option at 90 degrees. To me, this is the most annoying feature on this car. Maybe I'm being a little picky, but how hard is it to give me an armrest that I don't have to keep open with my elbow to get some change out? Any ideas on a quick fix? Maybe ransack my old TSX and pull out that armrest...

if you buy a split armrest, it comes with that spring that you talked about that keeps the armrest from closing down. Again, i feel your pain and wondering myself how the heck bmw cannot afford a spring for the non-split armrest. Maybe it is their plot to make us buy the split armrest.
If someone take a photo of the spring I can probably make one myself and have a group buy and get rich from it.
