Depends on the system, there are 3 grades.
Even the basic grade has a rear speaker, actually they have 6 speakers. The midgrade HIFI has 10 speakers and the full boat Logiz 7 has 13 speakers.

For me, it the standard speakers are better than my Toyota Kluger 6 speakers. I know I am not comparing apple to apple but it is just an opinion.

i just realised that the speakers in my car are Hi-Fi not the Prologic DAM!. Well thats my new option for the coupe. Hi-Fi is still very impressive, crisp and clear sound.

i owe you a big one bro. Thanks for that. If i'm not wrong they are 4" too. Cheers ! i can go ahead to get 2 set of the Infinity 2-way coaxial for it. I heard in my friend car that there is a big improvement over the OEM shitty speakers.

Yep, parcel shelf speakers. The 10 speaker system also has a small sub under each of the front seats - they work, but aren't special. The Bose speaker system in a Mazda 6 luxury is better.
Hmm, I optioned my E90 with the 10 speaker system and at lower (normal) volumes you are hard pressed to tell the difference to the standard setup. A friend bought the same model with the standard set up and I also have the standard setup on my 130 and it's not great, but does the job well enough. In my 325Ci I used to have 2 amps, Boston Acoustic speakers and a sub and that was way better (and a bit cheaper) than my 10 speaker system now. Saying all that, I'm sort of over higher end car speaker systems now, especially in the 130 where I prefer to listen to the engine and exhaust!! :-) Conclusion: If you want great sound in your BMW, you need to go aftermarket - don't waste money on the 10 or Logic setups unless you are concerned about puttting in aftermarket stuff. |

We have 2 4" speakers in front doors, 2 4" in rear parcel and 6.5" subbies under front seats in a standard system E90 sedan. CRAP CRAP CRAP I say!! I want to upgrade mine...but Ive been advised that the depth of the door speakers are slimmer than normal and have to make sure aftermarket ones arent too deep where you cant get the speaker coveres back on!!!

If you guys think that even the 10 speaker setup sounds "crap" then you must all be pretty fussy about the sound in your car. Outside of the car I'm a bit of an audiophile and I find the 10 speaker system has a very good frequency range, but maybe you guys need some 12" subs and amps in your boot :-) |

I didn't bother with Logic 7 for my car and I regretted it ...... for 2 minutes. The extra $1400 for slightly louder sound with some basic surround sound options didn't seem like value for money. The hi-fi system in my car is clear and loud and has great bass (two small subbies- one under each front seat!). If you ask me, the 19" wheels were much better value for approx the same money. Or for the wow factor, comfort access, to impress passengers.

I do agree, Its a lot easier to upgrade your Hi-Fi as you go and at stages when its affordale, rather than have to fork out on 4 new wheels at one go and maybe new tyres .... unless u want to drive with you stock in the front and new ones on the rear! HA!

I'm fortunate enough not to feel the need to upgrade anything on my car yet (except maybe a procede). The stereo is fine so for me it's all about the drive- and boy, what a drive!!!
