335XI Performance #'s expectations ?

Hi guys,

Thinking about picking up a 335 and need some help with the AWD option....

Guessing 0-60 will be better in an AWD 335i ?
1/4 mile may loose alittle bit ?

I've heard the old bmw AWD was chain drive and this wasnt very spectacular for performance driving. will the AWD provide a substantial improvement over handling to justify the price increase and performance decrease ?

Thanks

I'm not about to speculate performance #'s but I think most buy a 335xi to drive in the snow...not so much as a better performing alternative to the 335i....

Your driving all four wheels so their is more loss of power through the drivetrain.

This is generally the case with previous Xi's since those cars didn't have alot of torque to really break loose the tires but with the 335i's inability to keep traction at WOT in 1st gear and part of 2nd, the 335Xi's should be faster from 0-60. From a roll, the RWD 335's should be quicker due to less weight and drivetrain loss.
