A candidate replacement motor found.
Most of you will know of the accident that I had on the 27th May (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=536916). Zurich have only just inspected my car, so the bill for the hire of the nice white 335d Coupe I am driving around in is accumulating nicely. Hopefully this will get resolved soon. I have been looking for a suitable replacement for the full five weeks and have decided to go ahead and reserve this one. It's a bit covered in flies and needs a scrub up but doesn't look too bad. Hopefully I'll get a cheque soon that will enable me to pay for the thing!!!

The 335d has plenty more grunt, but that is partially disguised by the manual box in the 330d - which provides for a more immediate response when you want to give it some welly to overtake a car.
The 330d has a much more pleasant engine note - its more of a deep gruff rumble, whereas this 335d has a much more clattery diesel quality to it. The coupe is a very different drive, the suspension seems to have a lot more give on the 330d saloon, I'm wondering if the bushes are a bit knackered. It may just be a function of age/mileage. The 330d has 50k miles on it and is a 2007 car whereas the 335d is a 60 plate with about 12k miles. |

is the new one exactly the same as the old one (except different colour), did you get all the options that you were after?
