I didn't get it but instead chose individual options of leather and heated seats since I really didn't need/want the other packaged components.

I'll be able to use the money I saved towards my divorce since my wife says that if I keep talking about the car, I can sleep in the garage with it.

I wouldn't have bought it off the menu but the car I chose on the lot had it and I don't regret it... mainly because the bluetooth is so great, once you have had it you won't ever want to do without

I have the opposite opinion.

I drove a premium-equipped car for a week and noticed that (1) the auto-dimming mirrors dimmed too much (safety hazard, IMO), (2) I had zero occasions where I felt the need to power fold the mirrors (all 3 Series have power adjustable + heated mirrors standard), (3) I'm capable of parallel parking just fine without the passenger mirror auto-tilting down when I shift into reverse (and I can duplicate this effect by simply propping myself up a little in my seat), (4) Bluetooth is only compatible with certain phones, (5) I never referred to the compass, and (6) leatherette is just fine for me (please, please, please don't turn this into yet another leather vs. leatherette thread--let me be happy and oblivious in peace, thank you ).

Hope that helps,

-Dan

Eh, I got ZPP for the leather, universal garage door opener, and most important the über-cool folding exterior mirrors

the girls loves them

I skipped the premium, and just got the blue tooth alla carte. The only option I regret not having from the premium package is the power folding mirrors..To fold them in manually you really feel like you are going to break them.

I believe that the pasenger mirror still will tilt down in reverse without the premium package so long as the mirror switch is flipped to the right.

I thought every single one of those options were novelties when the dealership showed them to me the day I picked up my car, but in the last three months that I've owned it I have used every single one of them. In my opinion, if you're going to spend between $40 to $50 grand on a car you don't want to prop yourself up in your seat to park or flip a knob on your mirror when there is traffic behind you.
