FUEL PUMP (yet another one) ...with question
Hey all...
Obviously the fuel pump issue that's going around is no secret... well, I believe I too am about to fall victim. I haven't had any stalling or operating issues yet, but the last few days it's taken longer and longer to crank her up. Today leaving work, about 10 seconds or so. (2900 miles - NOV/2006 build date) My question is... has anyone in SoCal gone to Crevier for remedy? And if so, what were their experiences? I don't know whether to hope they have already delt with this issue so they'll know what to do in a timely manner or to hope they haven't yet for the chance of having a pump in stock. (ridiculously wishful thinking, I'm aware) My brother is a SA @ Ridgefield BMW in CT and as of tonight, he hasn't had a single fuel pump failure come through yet and he's going to check on part stock tomorrow morning. I left my Crevier CA a message with my concerns as soon as I got home tonight. Going to let them deal with service for me. I'm hearing all these horror stories of waiting a month or so for the parts. Goodness, with all that time @ the dealership I'd be more likely to just lease a new one. As if they're a dime a dozen. LOL!

Don't go to Irvine BMW.
I haven't had this specific problem with Crevier, but more than any other dealership in the area, Crevier is "hit or miss". When I had a really GOOD SA (he's left since then) everything was perfect. When I had a really BAD SA, EVERYTHING was awful. I've gone to Sterling, but Crevier is a lot closer to me, so let us know how they take care of you. If you end up with a good SA, I wouldn't mind a referral either. Good luck, and sorry to be of so little assistance. FWIW, Sterling has always been good to me, and I've never been happy with Irvine, and that has been the consensus experience of many. |

Couldn't possibly agree more. From my experiences Irvine sucks across the board... sales, service, everything. With Crevier I had hits and misses as well, exactly like you said, dependant on the SA. I then took a new approach and I've had far better experiences. I basically no longer deal with SA's. I have my CA deal with everything for me. Far from orthodox, but seems to work thus far. We'll see.
