So I ED'ed my 328i early March and it is now in NJ at the prep center.
It arrived there on March 22 and hasn't made it to my dealer in Massachusetts.

I've been calling my CA and asking about the status and finally today, I was told that the car is still at the center awaiting a software upgrade??

Has anyone heard of this upgrade?? I'm not sure what to make of it!

Well, if it's just a software update, I am surprised that they are not doing it at the dealership! Seems easy enough to me. And you can probably distribute such an update electronically, so again, why should that delay the redelivery?

Anyway, better to have it fixed before re-delivery, but then again, I was hoping to have the car before the weekend!

Dont worry

They just hae a newer version available than what the car got at the factory, and want you to have the latest there is before you get the car.

Rather have the good guys at the VPC do it than the little guys at the dealer

Yes. My hunch is you have iDrive in your car. Many of us are waiting for a download that will reactivate the voice command feature after a flash to version 25 of the Progman software.

My car was flashed to 25 but now has no voice commands. Delaers are waiting on the 'enabling code'.

Steve, any update on the code? I have to bring my 335 in Monday for the software update... maybe ill postpone it for a while

damn my car is due to arrive in NJ today. My dealer is right in NJ as well, i wonder how long my car is going to be in the prep center with this being a holiday weekend and all.

how long does it normally take for you guys once the car hits port and then your dealer having it ready for you???

if you live in NJ...usually 1 week. you will get it sometime next week.
