Help Please: boost gauge install problem

i just finished installing my HKS boost gauge and everything seems to work fine except when i turn the lights on, the gauge lights blink instead of staying lit.

this is how i wired my gauge:

12v constant - tapped into the glove box light power (red/yellow)
12v accessory - tapped into the cigarette lighter (red/black)
Illumination - tapped into the cigarette lighter (red/grey)
Ground - tapped into the cigarette lighter (brown)

thanks in advance.

i found why the meter was blinking/flashing. i found it on a vw forum who had the same problem as me with his Defi gauge.

The dimmer on the instrument panel on the BMW has to have the brightness turned all the way up to maximum. Otherwise it'll just blink/flash.. faster the higher the brightness, slower the lower the brightness.

hopefully this will help anybody else who runs into the same problem as me.
