Roads/Tracks/Auto-X in NJ/NY/CT area?

Hey everyone... I am looking for a few good roads In the NJ/NY/CT area to take the E92 out to really enjoy some handling... also some speeding!! Anyone know of some roads in the area that are good crusing roads or short straight away areas where you can get some 0-60 times without worrying about the police? Thanks in advance!! :rocks: :rocks:

Also, anyone know where we can auto-x around here? Thanks!

CT is probably your best bet.. NJ next.. roads by NYC are terrible so stay away.. maybe upstate NY.

Get on rt. 80 west and drive about 50 minutes until you reach the Delaware water gap. Take the exit that says "Last exit for NJ". It is about a 4 mile one lane road that snakes along side of the mountain. (Car direction is controlled by a stop light on either side of that one lane stretch) Its tough to drive at speed, but no chance of cops.

disclaimer: I do not condone spirited driving on beautiful country roads. If you drive off the side of the road into the river it is not my problem.

Check the BMW Car Club of America

New Jersey Chapter http://www.njbmwcca.org/event_info/autocross.php

New York Chapter

NJ Chapter is probably more active at autocrossing. Looks like they're having a school on April 22.

New England Region SCCA would be worth checking out. Here's the schedule page, scroll down to Solo.

http://www.ner.org/schedule.htm

Most of their events are at NHIS or Devens, Mass.

New York Region SCCA might be closer - they hold many of their events at Nassau Coliseum.

Good luck!
