Brembo BBK Fitment

Hey guys, so after eagerly waiting for my car getting on a boat I went ahead and ordered a few things I knew I wanted to change right away after taking another look at a similar car at the dealer.

I'm about to order the Brembo BBK for the front (I don't want to do it in the rear as I'd lose my parking brake and these are mostly for "spirited driving" on the street and aesthetics). My question is about fitment, will the 365 x 34 fit on the stock wheels 351M wheels? I was planning on swapping them out to 312's, but wanted to see what the setup looked like with 351's (with the BBK) before I made any judgement calls.

im running 405mm rotors and brembo 6pot gt kit
i do not think a 19 inch stock wheel would fit. I have the iForged 21 inch deep concave front and i can barely fit one finger between teh caliper and the spokes of the wheel.

i would measure first u might need mad spacers.

Anyway you can take a measurement from a mounting post to the outer edge of the caliper? Or know where such info would be available? That way I can plan accordingly, my car is on a ship set to arrive on the 22nd so no measuring for me till then

Thanks for the info, super excited to get my pair

I'll try and measure it today on my stock m sport 19" wheels. Mine are in storage and let you know if it will clear stock wheels.

Why don't you consider some vmr or forgestar wheels? Those with non run flat tires should be noticeably lighter. That way you can have more of a spirited driving experience! That's just my thoughts though especially if you are going to spend 3-4k on brakes

Taking a look, but no prices on their site. Not averse to having non-OEM wheels. But I want a clean/aggressive look although not something that screams "modded" and rims are usually a dead giveaway in that department.

Appreciate the offer to measure!

That would be awesome, buddy and I at work were just discussing how awesome the F14's in silver would look with the BBK kit.

Should I send you a PM or just wait for one

As a brembo direct dealer, I can provide you with all the cross sections so you can print them out and see if they will fit behind your wheels once you receive your car. Once you do receive your car I can provide you the brake kits in 5 business days or less. I wouldnt pay any attention to what other wheels other people are running with these brakes unless they are the identical set of wheels you plan on running. Some times even when ordering a forged custom larger wheel still doesnt help clear the caliper. There are major contact points where you need clearance. The bridge of the caliper which if there is not enough clearance it would hit the barrel of the wheel and the face of the caliper where the brembo logo is. Most larger custom wheels will clear the bridge, BUT if are running a set up based on factory brakes and deepest lip possible the spokes may come in contact with the face of the caliper which is why its important if running the factory wheels to print out the cross sections and take your measurements because once you order your brakes they are not able to be returned becuase the rotors hats and hardware are all assembled and torqued the day you order them. As long as the parts are in stock typically your order ships the same day or next business day.

Let me know if you have anymore questions I would be glad to help assist you with the purchase from start to finish and offer you the best price possible.

Sounds excellent would love to take up your offer for the cross sections. Always nice to be able to test yourself. My dealer is usually pretty cool with poking around cars and I might be able to get them to check for me.

If you could PM me your email/details maybe we can coordinate a bit better

Can someone please explain to me why would installing a bigger rear brake kit interfer with the parking brake?

The emergency brakes on the F10 is powered and is automated with the switch so the rear BBK won't work with it. It's not like the hand emergency brakes that you just pull up to apply.

Oh, ok.

I'm glad I don't have one.

Is there no work-around solution for F10 owners that want to upgrade the brakes both front and rear?

No the front works fine just the rear due to ebrakes.

Yep Kevin explained it perfectly from what I was told by brembo. Otherwise I would have the rear kit on now. Or maybe I should just forget about having a parking brake and put it on anyway...who knows

Yes thank you, I do understand the front brake up-grade for F10 owners is not a problem.

By work-around I mean a solution that you can keep the e-brake functional while up-grading to a better rear brake kit.

Yes, obviously you can remove the e-brake altogether and run a rear BBK but that is not what I was asking and certainly not a work-around solution.
