Wind Deflector for new 335i Cabrio
I just ordered a new 335i Cabrio and (unlike the Audi S4) was told that the Wind Deflector is NOT included with the car.
Is this true? What does one cost? The dealer had no clue! ...did anyone get theres included with the car?? |

I doubt it is. I know on the 6 convertible it is an accessory. It is also $570 for the 6 series one.

I know for the E46 cabrio the wind deflector cost around 400 dollars, however when we got the car they gave us a 50% discount on it as we picked the car up the same time as the deflector.

wind deflector is not included. It is an option, but I do not have the code available now. I ordered it for my car and in Italy its price is 330 euro.
It is a must have, IMO.

Congrats! You'll love your new bimmer and you'll soon realize that BMW will nickel and dime you for all you're worth, unlike other luxury car brands. But it's definitely pleasing to take ownership of such an automobile.

I test drove the E93 at 60mph top down, windows up, with very little wind intruding in the cabin. It was still possible to hold a conversation with the passenger without raising my voice.
There is one E93 owner on bimmerfest who reports not even having a problem with her long hair in the E93 at 100mph. You might want to try it out before ordering the wind deflector.

Thats lame. My parents got a wind deflector with their CLK included. And here I thought MB nickeled and dimed you to death.

Not included. Best price I've seen is $476. But am told by an early-delivery E93 owner with lots of miles that wind deflector just is not needed with the E93, and that matches my impression from a 30-mile test drive up to 80 mph.
Suggest get the car and try it for awhile, then decide. That's my plan - I pick up my car in Spartanburg on the 12th. |
