INPA and the "service engine soon" light

Hello,

"Service Engine Soon" light came up on my dash. I have INPA and NCSExpert installed on my laptop but no BT Diagnostic Tool.
Is it possible to scan the car just with INPA and find out what is the problem?
Anyone with this experience?

How would you connect your laptop to the car without the OBD tool?

******* - I cannot send you more info since you did not provide your private email address. In addition - it is an English language forum. It is not polite to post messages which are understandable to just few of us.

You can send me info on PW on how to use such a cable because I plan to buy but I still have doubts whether it will work in full.

The short answer is yes, if you have a working OBD/USB diagnostic cable that is compatible with your car. You can scan for error codes and clear them using INPA.

Why bump a 7 year old thread when there's a mountain of information about how to use these tools both on this forum and across the internet?
