Brake caliper color

So I have oem calipers and font want to upgrade. They have rust on them that I plan to get off then paint. I will have black wheels with chrome lip, and my car Is black. I'm wondering between black, red, or blue.
Black might be overkill and red is the norm... So suggestions?

I'd paint mine but worried about resale. I wouldn't buy a car with owner-painted calipers.

Btw I don't plan to sell the car anytime soon, so if I was I could just re-sand the paint off

Maybe you're right. Just wire brush it off. Hmmm...

From what I've read, you want the G2 paint from eBay btw.

Only reason I'm planning on painting the calipers is because of the rust. If there were no rust, i wouldn't think to paint them. Since I'm taking the time to paint, why not do a color i'd enjoy though. *shrug*

Get silver. It's kind of close to stock color and I think it looks better than rusted/unpainted calipers.

I don't plan to race the car. It's my daily driver and I would rather spend 5k on something else

I just can't see myself spending that much money on them unless i were to take it to the track.

If you're handy and patient, you can search/post a wtb for 335 brakes. I replaced my stock brakes with 15k mile 335 brakes and was very happy with the result and cost.

I don't have too much experience with 328 brakes, but judging by rotor size, there should be a very noticeable difference between 328/335.

I never thought about that, I might do that. Around how much does a set cost?

So long as the OP knows that 16" wheels won't fit over 335i/d brakes. 17" is the minimum to clear the calipers.

As for colour to paint the calipers, either silver or sliver-gold. Discrete, but looks like tidy OEM fitment.

Regards
D.

Hey diesel, I have 19" so that wouldn't be a problem. I don't think G2 paint comes in silver-gold though? I know there's silver, but I wonder how like shinny the silver is. I dono how that would turn out with black rims. I may just keep it simple and go with black... All though id like to have a color

Hard to choose guys!

Thats why I buy new.

On a side note, I went with purple. Looks amazing.
