AIO how to use it properly?

just apply AIO on my car yesterday.
i did a clay before apply the AIO. but i am not sure if i did it properly. but it looks clean on the AW paint. since i live ar APARTMENT, so i have to go to a self washing place. its a pain to work there. anyway, i finish claying and then drive home without a rewash. then, i start to apply the AIO on the car.
i used a tery white form and to apply, use about 2 oc for an entire car. while i was applying , i found out the tery pad get dirty as i apply the AIO.
i kept on apply and use a plus MF towel and wipe on wipe off method to apply it since i read it that it does not require any haze time.
after i finish, it looks pretty good but it was almost dark outside so i cannt see it clearly. when i wok up this morning and get sownstairs to check out the car. i found out some residue and maybe water spoy on the hook.
just wordering why will nit happen, i wanted to take some pic but it doesnt show on the photo. aw paint doesnt show it clearly.
anyone has experience applying AIO? can you tell me why?
thanks and sorry for my crappy grammer.

Were you using Klasse?

It's a powerful cleaner, hence your dirty application towel.

If you have some residue left on the car, just apply more AIO and then buff off. Would not hurt to do the whole car again.

yup AIO will clean the paint well so if you didnt prep well before the AIO thats why you are getting a bunch of dirt on the terry. FYI, dont you use a terry anyway, will introduce more scratches most likely.

spritz some distilled water on the surface and wipe clean with a good microfiber to get the remaining residue off.

top w SG if you want for more depth and shine.

Yes, overlap. I apply, overlap, and then reapply until the stuff comes off as easy as it went on.

Correct. And if I have trouble removing it, I apply more AIO and then buff off quickly. The solvents in the AIO are quite good at removing dry AIO...

You can't drive the car... even a quick drive home from the car wash will pick up more dirt than you can imagine, especially on the rear of the car. If you're going to do that, you probably should wipe the car down with a quick detailer spray before you start doing the AIO.
