Question How much are u allowed to "tamper" with a leased car?

If you lease an E90, what is the limit to how much you can "modify" the car after the fact?

- Change wheels?
- Window tint ?
- Muffler?
- Inside accessories (foot pedals, install sirus..)
- Engine mods? (probably not...)

etc..

thanks

you can do what you want, as long as it comes from your dealer, with the exception of tinting. Now, you can get other wheels, but the car needs to get returned with the original wheels you got with the car.

Only engine mods that are allowed are those made by Dinan.

As always, ask your dealer and make sure they include any 'add-ons' in the lease contract so you don't get bugged with it later.

What do you mean by "limit"? Do you mean what kind of mods can you return the car with upon the end of the lease? In reality you can mod the car as much as you want as long as you keep all your stock parts and return the car to stock condition before returning the car. All the modifications you listed can be put back to stock condition (except for any heavy engine modification... but an ECU chip or something light can be returned to stock condition too).

i wouldn't sell the stock ones. You will need to return them at lease end.

Garage List
you can definatly change them, just store the stock wheels in your garage and return the car with the stock wheels. You can also return the car with the 162s if you want, but you might be better off selling them on the open market and getting some money back
