The 06 sport steering wheel is a bit thinner and does not have thumbrests.

From 07 on, they became a bit thicker, and had either thumbrests or paddles (paddles not an option on 06).

A great upgrade is the M Sport wheel, I highly recommend it. It has thumbrests regardless of whether it's for paddles or not. Can be had for ~$200-250 w/o paddle cutouts, $300-350 with.

You can also retrofit paddles (like I have); search 'flappy paddle retrofit' for the thread on how to do it.

Yes. It's included as part of the M Sport package, was was only recently offered (09+) in the U.S.

There are also performance steering wheels which are nicer and more expensive.

Go search the FS interior section and you'll see all of them.
