Best H8 and d1S for the money

I have asssemblies for a halogen to xenon upgrade and am filling in the missing pieces.

What bulbs should I put in these with cost and performance both being considered. I have one oem h8 and one oem d1s with no ballasts at all. Should i get stock ballasts or aftermarket?
