Recirc Flap

Hi Everyone,

Quick question, wondering if anyone has ever had this issue before.. I'm having a weird issue.. For the longest time, I would hear a "thump" from time to time, coming from the cabin while driving.. Thought it was something in the glove compartment, but finally realized that it was the air recirculation flap. It's making a fairly loud "thump" when closing, and I usually notice it when I'm coming to a stop.

I don't think it's disconnected because if I turn the auto recirc/full recirc off and leave it open (no led's lit), the noise stops.

Has anyone experienced this in the past? I'm wondering if I can get to the flap to take a look via the pollen filter opening.

In my previous E90 I never noticed any noise from the flap openeing/closing, with the exception of maybe the faint noise of the motor opening and closing the door.

Thanks!
Scott
