Differences between E92 Seats

Hello all
I was just wondering what the difference between the E92 Coupe seat options. I know there is the Basic,Sport, Premium option but i don't know what makes them different. Any help would be great.

The sport has a lot more side bolster and has an adjustable front extension for long trips, they also are power seats, with both the bottom and back having air pockets to adjust firmness, and seat memory, light years nicer than the basic, well worth the sport pkg price alone.

Concerning the seats:

1) premium = leather seats and lumbar support, however you can have leather seats WITHOUT having the premium package
2) sport = has side bolsters and thigh extension (more support)

The premium seats are well worth it. My has power seats with lumbar and they are reasonably comfortable for most driving....but when I drive with zest on mountain roads the lack of side bolsters is really uncomfortable...especially for my 45kg gf who is lost in the seat. And on longer highway drives, the very short base of the seat is less than comfortable.

I would have ordered the premium seats if I had of had 5 months to wait for a custom ordered car.

My GF is 45KG as well we have taken many road trips in the mountains of KY/Tenn/NCarolina, the Smokies and Blue Ridge Pky and has never complained of the seat being too big for her frame in cornering.

Do you secure the seat belts on properly when driving aggressive? Like you would at the track?

Only the backrest has airpockets, the bottom cushion doesn't have them.

The one thing I regret is not getting sport seats. The normal ones blow.

Wait so there are THREE different seat options? Base, Premiuim, and Sport?

I have the premium package, but not sport package, and was under the impression that I had the most basic level seats. Is there something worse than what I have?

There are TWO types of BMW seats - standard (base) and sport.
The sport seats come only with the Sport or M Sport Packages.
Either type of seat may be covered in leather or leatherette.
The Premium Package (ZPP) includes leather if not already ordered and adds lumbar support. ZPP may be combined with either the standard or sport seats.

So, one could have:
1. Standard leatherette.
2. Standard leather.
3. Standard leather with lumbar (ZPP).
4. Sport leatherette.
5. Sport leather.
6. Sport leather with lumbar (ZPP).
(From what you say, you have #3.)

Looking at it this way, there are SIX. But #1,2,4 and 5 could be either manual or power with memory (the ZPP includes power), so that makes TEN.
And if you further add the color options...

Hope that clears things up.

Tom

Thanks for clearing that up. Yes you're correct -- I have standard leather with lumbar (option 3). So what I'm missing is the extra side support and the extendable leg rest?

I have ordered both Sport and Premium packages on 2 E92's, and the seats are wonderfull. Lumbar, side bolsters and the front extension provide all the adjustment I would ever need, and I like leather seats. I am 6'2" and the seats slide back farther than I would ever need.

Of course I attempt to tie her down as tightly as possible...in the car! But with a normal seatbelt, and 165cm in height, she is sliding around and complaining!

But then again, on mountain roads in Taiwan there are really tight switchbacks and no police ever, so speed limits are simply suggestions! Maybe the speed is more a factor than the crappy seats!

But as with the other posts...get the better seats. They are so worth it. Coming from the awesome seats in my TT, it's one of the worst things about my BMW. (Which I like better overall)
