E90 Angeleyes
Finally managed to get 1 installed today and I'll do the other tomorrow. I took a picture so that people know what they look like and can see if they are good/bad. I'll take another picture in the daylight tomorrow.

2 is what you want,
but lux 5.1 is what you really want. |

+1 on the Lux. Search for my post a few weeks back on a review of the lux. Even the lux arent as bright as I wanted during daylight, but they are considered one of the best out there and the problem is with the design of the angel eye design on the earlier e90s. Can't imagine what the cheap LEDS would look like...
I will say that the Lux look perfect during night time though. They are spot on in color match and they look very classy. i've gotten many compliments on them. Couldn't imagine ever going back to OEM.

So one is for e90 and the other is for e92.....
You'll want to get #2. you can find them on eBay for $40.....not sure how much shipping is though. The units that look like this for LCI will work for pre-LCI....just take the adapter plate off. |

#2 looks identical to what this guy is selling. Honestly, most of these lights are outsourced in Asia somewhere. I paid $150 for MTEC's and they looked good but burned out a day later. To me, it's all the same stuff unless you're buying OSS. Not worth spending $200+ on lights....

Thanks for the replies everyone, I'll probably end up going with a set of #2 just to experiment. I have nothing against LUX lights, however working in electronics I have a feeling its been hit by a bit of BMW tax and I would rather put that money to performance use.
If these DX ones are too dim I'll just take them apart for fun and see if I can improve them. Thanks again! Edit: found a 3rd set but they are out of my price range, 3 |
