Dome Light Help
First off let me say that I bought the interior LED kit and LED side marker lights from HPB and they are awesome. I recommend to anyone wanting to upgrade there lighting to LED's. The delivery was very fast as well.
I installed all the LED lights and having a problem with the front and rear dome lights coming on. Let me say this though, the fronts came on right away but since the rears wouldnt I switched them out to see if it was a light issue and no it wasnt. But when I went to plug in the front dome light again, it wouldnt come on. So I pressed the dome light button and the lights still wouldnt come on. But I did notice that the footwell and door splash lights turned off. I thought maybe a burnt the fuse but when Ii pluged in the orginal light, it came on. Now I am in a limbo, can some help me out and let me know if I am doing something wrong? Thanks |

Check to make sure the small wires at the base of the bulbs are correctly placed so they make contact with the plugs. I found when I installed mine that they were getting pushed to one side and didn't make an electrical contact.

You said your footwell and splash lights turned off? Do they turn on when you push the dome light? That's the problem I'm having sometimes....
My dome lights will come when I have the key in and I open the door....but they suddenly turn off after a minute or so...

I got them to work. I called Fred at HPB and gave me st by step directions of what I needed to do. Now they work perfectly fine. The only thing I had to do is using more double sided tape to get the LED lights to stay up there.

lol....I didn't mean that to sound as rude as it did...
OK..that's what I wanted to know....so it's probably my dome light that is the issue...

This is what I have been told to do from HPB. Open your car with the orginal bulb in. Wait till the lights dim out by themselves and give it another 30 secs or so. Take out the orginial bulb and plug the LED light in. This should do it or at least it did for me.
