My BMW Remote App

Hi All,

I just updated the My BMW Remote app from the iTunes UK store to version 1.0.3 (corrected) for my US iPhone. The Send to Vehicle (map search) from the app now works to the US.

i see only 1.0.3 at the uk store, however that map search send to car works!

Anyone have a link to the program file itself. I don't want to have to set up a UK account just to get the update (I already have the original version installed).

still cant find my password and BMW assist said, ummm yeah, we don't support the UK app.

Dealer has no clue on any passwords.

I tried all the defaults in the forums, 0000, 1111, 2222, 1234, 328, 335 none work.

Any suggestions?

When you call drive assist to activate the service they give you a password for your account. Use that and it should work. I got mine working in canada. Don't tell them anything About the application that you have. They have no idea about the BME remote app

I found my password on this BMW Stolen Vehicle Recovery thing. The CA showed me specifically when I bought the car and told me I needed that password to use Assist. I'll see if I can find it and take a pic for you.

Pic added. Yes, the password is usually 0000,1111,2222,1234, etc. Usually, if you call the Client Advisor, they know.

Of course, BMW Assist forced me to change my passcode the first time I used it. Regardless, the BMW app still uses the original password

Call BMW Assist and ask them if that is the passcode on the account. If it is you can ask them to change it to whatever you like. Then use your email setup on the account and the passcode and it should work.

I thought I saw something a while back that you have to jail break your phone. Is that true? Otherwise I'm going to download today. I'm hoping that BMW will release BMW apps as a download next month and include this feature for a U.S. version.

No. You'll just need to set up a UK account and download from the UK iTunes Store. Should still launch afterwards when you get back on your US account.

Call the guy who sold you your car and ask him what your BMW Assist password is. If he says just use Assist and they'll go through setup, say he/she chose one when you bought the car and you need that to use some random iPhone app

went to my dealer to pickup my iphone media adapter and I asked him about the password and paperwork.

He said I never picked a password for you....he printed out the paperwork and it said none.

I tried "none" as the password and it worked.

It says that my credit card won't work and I don't have a UK address. The download link above errors when installing on a non-jailbreak iPhone4.

You don't need to input any credit card info and you can just make up a UK address.

I upgraded to this latest version, still can't send to vehicle via map search. Comes up with the same error as before. I wish BMW would stop dicking around and just make it available for US customers already, bloody hell.
