remove front plate+fix to get rid of ugly holes?
I want to remove my front license plate, but if I do then those ugly holes will be there ! Anyone have any recommendations on how to get rid of those holes? what did you guys do? I'm looking for a quick and simple fix. Anything is better than nothing!
Thanks!

when you order them, you can choose what color you want them in. When I received mines the match was spot on. Mines are quite flush, and not loose. But they have only been on for about 3 months, and i wash gently when going over it. Dont remember the site i order them from, but found this ...

sounds good! I'll try the cheap way first lol hopefully they know what im talking about when I ask them at Lowes or Home Depot! but if not Bumper Plugs it is. Why did I let my dealer put the license on in the first place!

you can pay even less if you gooogle bumper plugs and get them right from the source. Or, you can also just buy nylon plugs from Home Depot for $1.50 (in the hardware aisle where they sell loose screws and bolts), paint them with touch up paint and go to a nice lunch for the $25+ you just saved.

I had bumper plugs for a while. They were overpriced, the paint didn't match my silver very well, and they really didn't look any better than the open holes.
Eventually, I got some curb rash and various nics in the bumper, so I just had the whole thing repainted. Looks great now. Not cheap though- fixing the rash, bumper holes, and painting was ~$600. In Lieu of bumper plugs, I'd recommend cutting out the damaged plastic, filling in the holes with some kind of epoxy or putty, and applying touch-up paint as best you can. When the car gets older and the bumper starts getting dinged up, consider having a pro repair it. Perhaps a body shop could even fill the holes and touch up for you. It still won't look quite as good as a full bumper paint, but would be better than DIY. |
