New battery and car died again~~
Recently my car wouldn't start. I put the key in and all the electronics turned on but when I would push the brake and the start button the car would just tick but the engine would not turn; However when I would JUMP start it~ the car would turn on. I went to the dealer to had the battery replaced and the car "reprogrammed" It's been about a week and a half and today the car is doing the same~~ any ideas what might be happening?? is my car sowhere draining the battery? I am going to drop the car off again at the dealer tomorrow to have it checked but am curious if this has happened to anyone? FYI my car is a 2007 E92 328i coupe.

Interesting this is a 328, so that takes the N54 fuel system right out of the picture. imho since the car is controlled by a computer, it could be anything and the dme should be read to see what it shows. I had a 328 loaner that turned off the heated steering wheel no matter how many times I pressed the button--I saw on the forum 328's needed to be reprogrammed.

If the dealer did not test the charging system prior to replacing the battery, they didnt solve the problem, and need to examine the car more closely. Obviously there are two possible issues, one the alternator is not charging the battery, or there is a drain on the system somewhere depleting the batteries stored charge.

okay so the dealer is saying it's my starter~~ which might be the case cause I do recall a time when I was at the gas station and the car wouldn't start but after the second or third time the car started.... it's wierd cause whenever I jumped the car the car would start. I guess there is a "voltage" issue?? I don't know but damn a new starter?? =(
