Can you identify this part? [SOLVED]

I recently changed the battery on my 06 325i and when I connected everything back I saw this cable. I have not been able to figure out where it connects if it connects to anywhere at all. I circled the cable in the following pictures.

That is a standard 2 or 3 pole female connector, they are used all over the vehicle, I just replaced one on a door speaker.

Thank you all for your responses.

I registered it using the BT tool. The one before this one was unregistered and it only lasted a year. Let's see how long this one lasts.
