Diesel Cheaper than Premium!

Since heating oil no longer needs to be produced because the weather has warmed up, the price of diesel has dropped. Today I filled up in Jersey, Diesel is a full 24 cents cheaper than premium by credit and only 6 cents more expensive than regular.

Of course this is in Jersey, the state with the cheapest gas prices where by law every gas station is full serve.

Happy Mothers day!

Around here it's been cheaper than premium for a few weeks now. Granted, the difference isn't quite 24 cents. More like 5 cents.

Same here, except for some over-priced stations. Stations over here which over-price all their fuels seem to overprice diesel maybe twice as much as their gasoline, ridiculous.

Interesting how there isn't a credit card surcharge on diesel.

I'm trying to figure out which type of people are more egotistical and bratty: the Prius drivers or the 335d drivers?

They just recently added a different price structure for credit versus cash at the full service gas station I go. Pretty annoying. The diesel price isn't very surprising this time of year, though the other prices are a bit lower than what I'm paying now in Mass.

Why don't you start a poll? Only the most insecure 335i drivers can vote.

at least we don't hog the left lane like idiots or drive stupid thinking we're gettin insane good gas mileage. (Well maybe some do but it's a BMW, it's meant to be driven hard!)

Here we go again, another 335i vs. 335d thread!

That's crazy....why is gas more expensive depending on how you pay? I've never seen that before.

Scratch that, I haven't been to fill up in over a week. I just swung by the station and diesel is only 2 cents more than regular(!), 3.96 vs 3.94. Premium is 4.20. Looks like now's the time to fill up, who knows how long or otherwise this'll last.

Fill up

I haven't had to fill up in 3 weeks! I always hit a local Shell station that has Diesel fuel for .10 off cents a gallon on Monday's. Every time I fill up at the gas station someone always says "Hey buddy, that's Diesel"! or "Yo, wrong pump"! I always say "does it matter, what's the difference"? followed by..."thanks, it's a Diesel"!

Back in the day it would be 328 vs 330i. Then 328 vs 335. Then 335 vs M3. Now 335 vs 335D..

This is why I want a 335d coupe in the US.

Had a conversation with a cab driver 2 days ago about diesel, and they went off on how it's smelly and loud. Americans are still so dumb when it comes to diesel....
