The e90 Will Soon Be Dead...Anyone Up for A National Meet???
It occurred to me that e90 will be dying soon, and we've all been members/watchers/readers for years, and what better way to celebrate than by having a National e90 Meet to celebrate the passing of our amazing cars???
I've been on this lunatic-ridden site for almost 6 years now, watching everyone yell and scream and hate and love each other every single day of every year we've been online. It's been a CRAZY ride to say the least... Now that the e90 and all of its derivatives will soon cease production, I think this would be the ULTIMATE excuse for a National gathering. Remember, in just a few months, we'll be the "new" e46 site.... It would be a great excuse for a road trip, and regional members "caravaning" to the meet together, not to mention a once in a lifetime chance for the East and West Coast people to come together, and everyone in between as well. I know it sounds like a pipe dream, but if someone steps up the the plate to organize something like this (don't look at me), I think it would be awesome. Hell, I'm married w/ 2 kids and I'd be willing to drive out for a couple of days to meet all of you freaks. I'm sure nobody would mind a $20/$25 dollar registration fee to cover organizational costs either. Any thoughts, ideas, opinions??? |

Are you going to offer regional chase vans with extra fuel pumps and injectors?
And some Bridgestone Bricks for the die-hard RFT holdouts? |

Something like this would be a lot of fun, but I guess it comes down to location more than anything else. Has there been a massive gathering in the past and if so, how many people attended give or take?

Location would be everything, and it would have to be reasonable for everyone, which given the size of our country (US), would be no easy feat. I figure we've got about 1,000 members, and given the THOUSANDS of additional guests we have everyday, I think a turn out of 500 cars would be difficult, but with proper planning and promotion, a definite possibility. Hmmmm... |

Maybe do one on the east coast one on the west, and have big screens at each, and a host walking around at each broadcasting to the other meet.
That would be cool |

The E92 Coupe is not going to DIE until 2013, and we are a different breed from the E90.
The Wagon crowd gets my deepest condolences though, a fine machine thats a great package. I will not attend any meet that involves RFT's, period. |

I use to attend a GM show in St. Louis every year before it finally ended. Everyone usually got there Friday during the day. Friday night we went to the track. Saturday was a show at a local sports bar with a large parking lot. Saturday night was the awards ceremony (usually at the host hotel/campgrounds). Sunday was a group breakfast and everyone parted ways. It worked out well.
I would actually suggest Kansas City, all of the LT1 guys still go out there every year for LT1 shot out. There is a track, lots of hotels with large parking lots, and plenty of restaurants in the KC area. Plus it is in the middle. -Nate
