2 tickets in one week

ah im so frustrated these fuckers come out of nowhere. Couple of questions. I got one for 99mph in 65 (i was going 90), the guy that measured my speed and pulled me over left after back up arrived. The second guy that just arrived wrote me up. What are my chances of using this as a reason to dismiss the ticket?

The second one i just got on my street because i didn't wanna buckle up for a block!

How much do you guys think each will cost. I'm in Cali

I have a perfect solution to both of your problems!

1. Slow down.

2. Buckle up.

Donno if you live in a warm climate, but 90 degrees in a black car will make you melt. Putting on a seat belt makes things worse.

Appeal your tickets in writing. Chances are the officer wont respond.

if you're absolutely positive about this fact, you can try and contest it. maybe cop didn't calibrate his radar gun and you can get away on technicality.

I know 100% i wasn't going that fast. When he pulled me over he told me I was doing at least 90. I dont think he used a radar gun. He then left and the guy that arrived later gave me a ticket for 99. I donno where he got that number from but I didn't wanna argue and have him fuck me over even more.

How would I prove that I wasn't going 99? It's his word against mine. Also can I ask the judge to not have it show up on my record, but I'll cough up the money.

the speeding one you might get away on a technicality
the seat belt.. pay it

what's the difference in points/money between 90mph and 99mph in a 60 zone?

He told me that he's not gonna write 100 because then it becomes reckless driving. Good cop bad cop bullshit. There were absolutely no cars on the freeway. I realized I was going to fast and slowed down to 75 and drove like that for a mile. He then caught up and pulled me over.

It was in a 65 not a 60 so 35 and over is considered reckless driving in cali.

read above post lol I realized it but unfortunately it was too late and you're right. I'm not complaining about the seatbelt but the speeding one is fucked up.

Damn, can't believe seat belt tickets jumped so high. Last one I got was probably 10 years ago. Think it was around $20.
