Wrecked Car Pics... share em!

I just wanted to share some pics of my car that was wrecked back in November. Some DUI in an SUV did a hit & run; T-Boned my 330Ci on its fender at 45mph while it was parked. There were witnesses but no one was able to get his plate. $18,5k in damages but to my amazement both doors opened perfectly and there was absolutely no damage to the engine. BMW's are built like tanks.

Please share your pics...

Riding up a parking meter...

The tree is what stopped my car from completely ending up on the sidewalk.

If you never caught the person, how do you know it was a DUI?

Witnesses... they said the guy was clearly wasted. Not only did he hit my car but also the one in front of mine and then went up the sidewalk and into a metal fence. He then backed out and side swiped a MB while driving off.

you see that picture of that absolutely smashed M3?......that was my friend who died in that street race against a clk 55 amg on septmeber 25th 2006. He died instantly and caused the 2 girls, all of which were only 18 including himself, in his car to be hospitalized, one of them for 3 months.....dont street people, its not worth the tickets, the fines, the deaths, the pains to the family. If you were at that funeral, that huge funeral, you'd get that "life is worth more then this" vibe all through your body. Still gives the worse chills when i see that....the whole city was upset about that.

It was, my heart dropped when I went to get my car and saw the aftermath. But you're right, it's a pretty good reason to upgrade

This is a great post man and a good warning. Racing really is stupid. If you wanna race, race on a track in a controlled environment, not where you can endanger innocent people's lives. If you want to endanger your own life, fine, but don't risk other peoples'.

sorry to hear about your friend, i know 3 girls that died when a kid flipped his ford explorer over 3 times because he was high.. racing needs to be left to the track, and if your going to race dont put other lives in danger as in go find a road with no traffic what so ever.

Golden Dental Group hrm? I wonder if my parents have heard of it. Both my parents also went to USC dental. Great school. You planning on being a dentist as well?

That pisses me off. Why didn't the M3's roof support the weight of the car? Aren't they designed to do that? I tell you, if a friend of mine died because the car flipped and the roof didn't hold the weight of the car, I'd sue the manufacturer. In this case, I'd sue the shit out of BMW.

Depends on how high that car got during the flip. 9.8 m/s^2 adds up fast when you're dealing with 2 tons. Also, lawsuit?! It wasn't structural integrity that Killed these kids, it was a really bad decision and excessive speed.
