Due for service at 49,500 miles...
What's the best way to get the dealer to go over your car with a fine tooth comb? I have a E93 with 49.5k miles and I know there are some things that need to be fixed. I would also like them to take a look at everything else to see what else needs to be addressed, but I can see a dealer not being willing to do something like that.
Would it help to have some Service bulletins in hand? What things should I have them look at? Any failure parts that should be addressed around this time? Any help you guys can provide me would be excellent. Thanks! |

The best way is to take the car to an independent shop, get them to do a pre-warranty-end inspection, then take whatever they find to the dealer to fix.
The dealer has no incentive to look for problems, and plenty of incentives NOT to! |

You are under warranty. They get paid for it. They have no reason to not want to fix things and get paid. They are aware that many people are turning to independent shops these days. They want work.

What he said. It's baseless to think that they aren't eager to fix things that won't be accepted under warranty.

Guys, I know a few things that need to be fixed. That's not a problem.
I'm asking about stuff that I don't know. How do I get them to look at something when I don't even know its wrong or going bad? |

All the dealer is going to do is respond to any complaints you might have, check to see if any codes have been thrown, and if not, say "it's fine!". It may be, but they will NOT go out of their way to find out otherwise... |
