Anyone have pics of deep sea blue?

Or can you direct me to a photo that is the closest to what this color looks like in real life? There are so many different shots of it that I can't tell. TIA.

These pics are from the Geneva Motor Show. There are more pictures on the main X3 page.

Oooh...it looks much better in those photos, but what color really looks bad under those lights? Okay, this looks like the M sport...and it's not carbon black, right? Obviously, it doesn't look black, but I can't find a photo that really shows that color either!

Deep sea blue looks different depending on lighting conditions. Mineral silver and a few of the other colors are the same way.

The color is going to look slightly different depending on sunny vs cloudy day, the type and amount of overhead lighting (when inside), flash or no flash, etc.

I ordered the deep sea blue/oyster for my 35i. Still waiting for it to enter production.

It looks too light to be Carbon Black but I could be wrong. Hopefully someone can post real world pics of Deep Sea Blue.

That's the combo I really love at the moment, but I'm thinking the oyster might be more maintenance than I want with a dog, a toddler and a husband that has pig pen characteristics! I'm not sure I would like the beige with it...maybe black.

If you do a quick search there should be a thread for the color. I had one for the day as a test drive a couple weeks ago and snapped a few shots that Jason added to the photo thread.

The indoor color is a deeper darker blue than the outdoor color. Outside in sun it becomes quite bright blue.

Thoughts on it? I saw the thread pics, but with all the varying shades it's hard to detect which are the most accurate.

I liked it indoors. It was a bit lighter/brighter than I liked outdoors. But it was by no means unattractive. It's a nice shade of blue.

I've changed my color selection twice now. I started with Mineral Silver, then changed to Sea Blue when MSport came out. Then I saw the Carbon Black pictures. To me it's a deep dark blue. Very nice. Carbon Black is now my selection.

btw, I've had two black cars previously and originally wanted something lighter. I guess Carbon Black has swayed me back to the dark side!

My wife and I liked pretty much all of the X3 colors, but weren't in love with one in particular. Ultimately we went with DSB because we both love the oyster interior, and felt that the DSB/oyster would be a great combo. Black would've been a better match to oyster, but black is a pretty common color (current car is black) and we wanted something different.

We both wished deep sea blue was just a tad darker though. Our local dealer had a monaco blue/saddle brown X6 that was stunning in person. I don't think the pictures in this thread above are an accurate reflection of how it looks in general. The pics in the actual color thread I linked are more accurate.

Yep, that DSB/Oyster combo has to look amazing. Well, it does in the video from the LA times. I'm not really in love with any of the colors either and I suspect that's what has been holding me up the most. I sometimes just don't feel in love with the car. I'm usually not indecisive with cars/colors and this has driven me crazy...to the point that I am still strongly considering a Q5. I'm trying to see the blue in as many photos as possible and trying to locate one at a dealership here in CO.

I am on my second X3 - Third on order (last report: On a ship heading for Bremerhaven :-) First one was Mystic blue with sand beige leather interior, similiar to DSB. My current is Vermillion Red which i really like (so do my wife). The F25 is vermillion red as well.. with M-sport with black pearlpoint/leather interior.

The VR looks amazing in the right lighting.

I loved this Deep Blue Sea when i saw it at first in this pictures from Geneva Motor Show, but in day light this is much more blue, not such dark blue.
Carbon looks almost like this DBS from Geneva in sunlight, so I've ordered Carbon Black.

Yep...I am kind of agreeing. I wish it would stay that dark blue. Kind of like the blue on my friend's GTI. Cripe, why can't I decide on a color?
