Whistle noise from the rear
Hi Folks, From past couple of days I hear a (Not too loud) whistling kind of noise from the rear of my car (Tires I guess). What could it be? It only comes when I start from a dead stop and up till 20-30 miles per hour than just vanishes. Please suggest some suggestions? Its a CPO so I can take it to dealer as well but knowing some of the possible options is always helpful.
Thanks |

Could possibly be a wheel bearing issue. I would double check that by jacking up the car and shaking the wheel when its bolted onto the hub to see if there is any hub play.

^yes as long as you dont have damages on the wheels that they can say you hit a pothole or a curb.
i had to replace 2 on 2 separate e9x one covered one not covered because i had a minor curb rash and they blamed it on it. both cpo cars as well wheel bearing noise is more like "whoop whoop whoop" and faster as the speed increases. and is non existant under 40mph. whistling noise could be alignment or needing balance on tires.

It also could be brake dust.
