NEED HELP! noise coming from rear passenger wheel???
So on the highway today I noticed a metalic ticking noise coming from my rear passenger side wheel. It is pretty loud and ticks faster the faster I drive...
Anybody have a clue WTF this could be??? bearing??? I'm scared to drive my car now Thanks for any advice...

First thing that came to mind is the brake pad sensor since that has a small metal clip...possibly could be the caliper clip too, but it's probably neither since both are around the mid-section of the rotor and wouldn't latch on to something during each rotation. Definitely need to take the wheel off and take a look.

It does sound like a bearing from the video. Take it to Matt tomorrow and he should have you fixed in a jiffy. If you dont have a jack, there is not much you can do to see if there is something loose or what not.

I didn't like your wheels, but they really grew on me lol. Inspect the inside of the wheel with your flashlight, see if the wheel makes any contact with anything.

And wouldn't it have made a noise as soon as we mounted the wheels?? why a week later? Should I take my ebrake on and off to see if the noise goes away if I mess around with it??? because I actually haven't used my ebrake since the wheels were on until today so now it kind of makes sense but IDK why it would hit now and not just right away?

I was thinking also that its possible with all the road work in this pothole infested area and with all the patch work around there are constantly loose particles of dry top that might somehow have wedged into the rotor top and melted into place which I think has holes all around it, and each time it rotates hits the brake caliper and makes this clicking noise...If this is the case the gravel material will eventually wear away and fall out! Just a hunch!
I had this happen to my Mazda3 before! |

Man those wheels are soooooo whore sexy!!!!!!!! lol Are they multi-piece wheels? Because if they are, maybe there are bolts loose or something? Tighten the lug nuts all the way? It could be something with the e-brake.

Just an update:
Took the car to Matt@Cambertoe yesterday after work. Turns out Matt was right (as usual). My extended bolts were too long and they were hitting the emergency brake assembly inside my wheel hub. Had to take my rear spacers off for now and use my OEM bolts but THANK GOD I don't hear that DAMN! noise anymore!! Matt is going to cut a few threads off my extended bolts for me and everything should be ok Thanks again guys and thanks again Matt
