N55 DP Sensor Clearance Issues

I'm having trouble getting my downpipe out, everything is unbolted including the clamp, but every time I pull the dp down the lower o2 sensor hits the transmission mounting bracket before it is able to clear the bolt. Are people unbolting the sensor before removing the downpipe? Or do you pretty much have to remove the transmission mounting plate. I'm afraid I'm going to damage the sensor if I keep trying to pull the dp out with it plugged in, but I can't see how you would unbolt it while the dp is installed.

Pull the clamp off completely.
The DP should pop off and u should be able to drop it. Just muscle it a bit, u're almost there.

The plate that bolts to the DP and trans I completely remove. I also just unscrewed the o2 sensor while it was in the car and took it out. Then removed the pipe

Any idea what size the Torx Bolts are on those brackets? Can't get my E18 to fit on there, maybe it's to thick?
