Accessories questions
Questions about accessories:
(a) Does the new 3 have with a hitch that the dealer can put on without voiding warranty on electrical etc. for a trailer ? I'm a regular Home Depot guy and need to haul around the occasional unweildy object like drywall boards. I know the 5 is a hauler and comes with this accessory. (b) Does the 3 come with illuminated door sills ? The 5 does and I think this is so cool ! BTW, looking at the other posts, I think I'm leaning towards a barebones 330 with sports package. And yes, I was able to feel slight hesitation during initial accel on all the models I test drove this weekend (5, 3, X5). |

The illuminated door sills are a accessory that can be retrofit by the dealer. But incredibly expensive. Soemthing like 500€ = 700USD. The complet set is Part No 51470395280 Not worth it IMHO |

1) The kit is comming out soon for a removable towbar, this can be fitted by the dealer and is BMW
2) Its a dealer fitted option, just like on the 5 Series |

IMO, i think the illuminated door sills are cool, but obviously kind of a waste. I wish the design was much cooler looking, the current ones are blah. I like the way the standard door sill inscriptions look on the e90. Check out my post at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=361 but this is what is basically looks like.
