Dark Chrome?

What is this dark chrome color that I've heard about? Is it a current M color?

Its called Chrome Shadow/Shadow Chrome its a color BMW uses to displays cars at shows, its very costly & very prone to chips & again very costly so its not likely that it will be put into production...HTH

No you've mislead the OP.

Dark Chrome is a rumoured new colour for the E92 M3. There was a leak a couple of months ago about the list of colours which will be available for the new E92 M3. From the top of my head they were as follows:

Sapphire Black
Alpine White
Interlagos Blue

a few other colours

and then three new colours

Phoenix Yellow II
Retro Blue
and
Dark Chrome

Dark Chrome has nothing to do with Chrome Shadow.

i wonder Mercedes Vision vehicles use the same color because those Vision color rocks

That sounds interesting. I'd assume maybe a graphite metal flake.

the rumor of the phoenix yellow II has me excited. maybe this time it'll look more like yellow and less like puke.

must be the new version of steel grey code400, I dont mind it.

I hope they do, the choice of the E46 was what made me adore it in the first place, even if I am a staunch LSB man.

Oooh....I hope this rumor about dark chrome is true.

Sounds cool. I love my steel grey and would love to see it tweaked a little.
